Robert A. Bertsche Quoted in The Berkshire Eagle Regarding Staples Libel Ruling

Journalists across the country are keeping a nervous eye on the Staples v Noonan libel case.  This is the case that appears to challenge the long-held standard that truth is an absolute defense to libel lawsuits.

According to Rob, “the ruling applies only to lawsuits brought by private figures about a private concern.”  “But,” he added, “the law does not clearly define what a private concern is.”
