Steve Gans Interviewed in The Boston Business Journal About His Candidacy for U.S. Soccer President

October 11, 2017

Corporate and Sports and Entertainment attorney Steve Gans was interviewed in the Boston Business Journal regarding his upcoming run for U.S. Soccer Federation President.  Gans will challenge current U.S. Soccer president Sunil Gulati for the position, which Gulati has held since 2006.  In the interview, Gans answered questions about his decision to run, his qualifications for the job, and how he plans to help the U.S. to “move in the right direction and become a more respected soccer nation.”  Gans also addressed the U.S. loss against Trinidad and Tobago last night that eliminated the Men’s National Soccer Team from the 2018 World Cup, saying he felt “shock and sadness.”  Despite this setback, however, Gans remains optimistic about his chances and his ability to bring change to the organization. “I do see a path to victory,” Gans said of his upcoming campaign. “Even before last night’s devastating loss, I felt I had momentum on my side.” To read the full article, click here (subscription required).  An article in The Boston Globe also mentioned Steve and his candidacy, as well as Prince Lobel.
