Are you a Boston Cannabis Establishment Applicant? Don’t miss out on the opportunity to apply for the Boston Equity Program for Cannabis Businesses.
In November 2019, the City of Boston passed the “Ordinance Establishing Equitable Regulation of the Cannabis Industry in the City of Boston,” thereby creating the Boston Equity Program, which provides financial assistance through its Boston Equity Fund and consulting services through its Technical Assistance Program.
The Boston Equity fund offers grants to certified equity applicants and licensees to help finance certain businesses expenses, including working capital, legal fees, startup costs, build-out, and equipment purchases.
The deadline to apply for grants through the Boston Equity Fund is April 30, 2023, at 5 P.M.
In order to qualify for grants through the Boston Equity Fund, your business must:
- Be certified as a Boston Equity Applicant;
- Have an ISD Refusal Letter from the Boston Inspectional Services Department;
- Provide the date of your Community Meeting with the Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS).
