Prince Lobel Tye LLP Construction Law Partner Hugh Gorman, on behalf of firm client Brait Builders, discussed the bid protests that had been filed with the Town of Hingham regarding the Hingham High School fields project.
However, according to Gorman, “Brait Builders withdrew its bid protest on the fields project because it believes that the School Committee has the requisite information to determine that it is the lowest eligible and responsible bidder for the contract. Brait Builders is hopeful that because of its excellent references and experience and the fact that its bid is $106,000 lower than the next lowest bidder, that the contract will be awarded to Brait and that it can soon begin construction on the fields project … Brait has a record of completing its projects on time or ahead of schedule.”
