On Friday, July 21, attorney Daniel Glissman spoke to Chris Emma of NECN’s The Take about revisions to the state’s recreational marijuana law which were recently passed by the Massachusetts legislature. Glissman explained how the new law will be implemented, including the different types of recreational licenses that the state will issue, the commission that will be responsible for marijuana regulation, and the rate at which the substance will be taxed. “There’s still a lot of work to be done,” Glissman said. “But I think the legislature did a good job [with this compromise].” A week after Glissman’s interview, Governor Charlie Baker officially signed the revised marijuana bill into law.
