In the
October 2011 issue of Wealth Management Insider, Patricia discusses the
evolving nature of email and social media, and who may (or may not) have access
to those accounts – especially when the account owner dies. Each website appears
to have a different set of rules, and the states that have created laws to
address these digital issues have enacted different forms of legislation.

Patricia
states that while the term “digital executor is not yet a legal term … it may
be wise to nominate a digital executor in a will to handle the social media
assets.”
