Prince Lobel’s Anna Martignetti will be co-chairing a CLE for the Family Law Section of the Boston Bar Association. The CLE will focus on “Hot Topics” in Family Law Practice, a year in review. Our Partner Michael Xavier will be a panelist, along with Judge Jacobs, Judge Gorman, and Paula Magnum.
The panelists will discuss:
- The Child Support Guidelines and a Discussion of Recent Case Law and Best Practices Under the Amended Guidelines, including: Parenting Time, Secondary Income, Interplay of Child Support Guidelines and Alimony, The Economy and Attribution of Income.
- Fundamental Rights Considerations in Family Law Practice: A discussion of Ventrice v. Ventrice and Bower v. Bournay-Bower; and the right to counsel as set forth in the Guardianship of V.V.
- The ARC Program, Trauma Evaluations and Judicial Discretion – Children and Families in High Conflict Proceedings and the Authority of the Courts.
- The Alimony Reform Act and an Overview of Interpretive Case Law From the Past Year: Chin v. Merriot, Rodman v. Rodman, Doktor v. Doktor, Lalchandani v. Roddy and Cogliano v. Cogliano.
