Prince Lobel Tye LLP Domestic Relations Practice Group Co-chair Donald G. Tye put together a blue-ribbon panel to explore the various models judges use for interviewing children, the suggested questions to ask, the different processes used in the interview process, and the ethical issues involved. The panel provided the perspectives of a senior family court judge, an experienced psychologist, a lawyer who represents children, and a child advocate.
The panel included: The Honorable Michele F. Lowrance of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois; Joan B. Kelly, Ph.D. from Los Angeles, California, a renowned clinical psychologist; Frank P. Cervone, Esquire, Executive Director of The Support Center for Child Advocates based in Philadelphia (a pro bono program for abused and neglected children); and Donald G. Tye.
