Partner Jeffrey Pyle will join a panel of lawyers and a Superior Court Judge at 4:00 p.m. on May 23, 2023 to discuss new developments in the Massachusetts Anti-SLAPP Law, the statute intended to curb “strategic lawsuits against public participation.” The panel will discuss recent decisions by the Massachusetts Appeals Court on the subject, how to identify and analyze viable special motions to dismiss in the context of the burden-shifting anti-SLAPP framework, and the viability of abuse of process claims in light of the statute.
