This Wednesday, May 1, 2019, Media and First Amendment Law attorney Jeffrey Pyle will speak at Hampshire County Law Day, an event that will focus on issues involving “Free Speech, Free Press, Free Society.” The event is part of a nationwide tradition celebrating “Law Day,” first declared by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1958. The day emphasizes the integral role that our legal and court system play in upholding American democracy and society. At the event, which will be held at the Old Superior Courtroom at the Hampshire County Courthouse in Northhampton, Pyle will speak alongside U.S. District Court Judge Michael Ponsor in a panel moderated by Pioneer Valley Performing Arts students and introduced by Northwestern District Attorney David Sullivan.
