Partner Joseph Steinfield will speak on Tuesday, June 20, at an event entitled “Freedom of the Press: New Challenges in an Era of Distrust and Fake News,” held by the New Hampshire Supreme Court Society. Joe will participate in the first panel of the day, “Modern Challenges Facing the Freedom of the Press,” during which he and his fellow panelists will discuss current issues in journalism, including “fake news,” the recent antagonism between government officials and the press, and local statutes like the New Hampshire wiretapping statute, as well as the effect these issues will have on the media and the freedom of the press.
