Prince Lobel Tye real estate attorney Michael P. Ross moderated a panel on the future of parking at the sPARKing New Ideas: Parking Strategies for Stronger Communities conference hosted by the Metropolitan Area Planning Council, the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development, and the Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Association.
The panelists, which included Chryse Gibson, CAO, Oaktree Development, Peter Spellios, Executive Vice President, Related Beal, and Sarah Hamilton, Vice President for Area Planning and Development, MASCO, discussed how communities can stay on top of demographic and market forces, the cutting edge of growing trends toward urbanism and car-light lifestyles, how the private sector can be municipalities’ biggest ally in using parking management, and other Transportation Demand Management strategies to tackle the toughest traffic problems.
