Ian Urquhart Elected Chair of Charlestown Boys & Girls Club Advisory Board

Real Estate attorney Ian Urquhart has been recently elected as the Chair of the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club Advisory Board.  Growing up in Charlestown, Urquhart was a regular at the Boys & Girls Club, where he went after school to do his homework, practice basketball, and attend College Club.  Urquhart credits staff members at the Boys & Girls Club with encouraging and helping him to apply to Skidmore College, where he was accepted and earned his undergraduate degree.  Urquhart is thus very excited to be taking up a leadership role at the Charlestown Boys & Girls Club, saying “I feel honored for the opportunity to give back to a place that matters so much to me and for the chance to help the next generation of Charlestown kids and teens achieve their full potential.”  Charlestown Boys & Girls Club Director Peter Nash is equally pleased, saying “I am very excited Ian is assuming the role of Chairperson after having spent the past four years on the Club’s Advisory Board.  What makes it even more special is Ian spent 12 years of his childhood at the Club.  What better role model for our kids than a former club kid coming back to take on a leadership role?”
