In a follow-up news story regarding off-campus housing and safety, Our attorney and former city councilor Mike Ross, the original author of the “No More Than Four” regulation back in 2008, also addressed concerns over the inaction of the policy. According to Mike Ross, no citations have been issued since its original issuance of the policy. The concern is the lack of enforcement.
“Because today, in order to assess that on someone, you have to take them to court and it’s just very cumbersome,” said Ross.
