Partner Diane Rubin has been voted president-elect of the Real Estate Bar Association (REBA) and has joined the association’s Dispute Resolution panel. Rubin is a longtime member of REBA and founded the association’s Condominium Law and Practice Section in 2008. A seasoned real estate attorney, Rubin has over 30 years of legal experience, with a focus on condominium and construction law. She also has over a decade of dispute resolution experience and has served as a neutral mediator in more than three dozen cases, ranging from small condominium disputes to large, multiparty negotiations involving construction companies and contractors. Rubin is thorough in her mediations and spends time with counsel and both parties to ensure she has a clear idea of all background issues involved in the dispute. If the matter does not settle at the initial mediation session, Rubin continues to work with all parties to find an avenue of resolution that is acceptable to all. REBA’s Dispute Resolution President Joel Reck is excited to welcome Rubin to the panel, saying, “Diane possesses a unique combination of strengths in both construction and condominium disputes, as well as in real estate disputes more generally. I know she will be a key asset in expanding our program’s reach into those areas.” Rubin echoes Reck’s enthusiasm, saying, “I am honored to be joining the REBA DR panel. REBA DR is the best forum for real estate disputes in Massachusetts because it offers a panel of accomplished professionals, as well as a supportive administration.”
