Intellectual Property

Brian is a member of Prince Lobel’s Intellectual Property practice group.  He  represents clients in patent litigation and in post-grant proceedings before the USPTO, manages patent portfolios for major technology companies, and provides strategic IP counseling regarding technology transfer and licensing.

Brian also advises technology firms regarding data privacy requirements in the U.S. and Europe arising under the GDPR, and has represented clients before the U.S. Bureau of Industry and Security in matters relating to the export of data and technology. He also has extensive experience with 3GPP/ETSI international communications standards and FRAND licensing requirements.

Brian’s  principal areas of technology expertise include computer software and hardware, wireless communications, medical devices, distributed systems, and cybersecurity.
