Prince Lobel Adds Steven Weatherhead to Employment Law Group

October 1, 2024

Prince Lobel welcomes Steven Weatherhead as a Partner in the Employment Law Practice Group. Steve is an employment lawyer with over 28 years of experience and will practice out of the firm’s Boston office. He has advised employers around the country, particularly in the life science and technology industries, on all aspects of federal and state employment law.

Steve routinely counsels and trains human resource and legal teams on the full spectrum of issues that arise throughout the employment life cycle, including hiring and recruiting, background checks, drafting and enforcement of restrictive covenants, policy development, wage and hour issues, compensation structures and policies, whistleblower claims, employee privacy, performance management, leave of absence management, discrimination, harassment, workplace safety and health, terminations and reductions-in-force. Steve also frequently advises C-Level executives on their employment and compensation arrangements.

In addition to his employment compliance practice, Steve has significant experience litigating all types of employment claims. He has successfully represented employers in state and federal courts around the country.

“Having outgrown a boutique employment law firm that I co-founded 10 years ago, I was looking for a collegial place with great lawyers committed to providing effective, value-driven representation. With its deep expertise in several practice areas and commitment to client service, Prince Lobel provides the perfect platform to support and expand my practice,” Steve said. “I am excited to join my new colleagues (and several former ones) as I embark on this next chapter of my career,” he added.

Managing Partner Craig Tateronis noted, “Since our inception, Prince Lobel’s Employment Law Group has been one of the firm’s foundational practices. Steve has developed a reputation as one of the best employer side lawyers in Boston. He has significant experience representing life science and technology companies, and as a litigator, has achieved terrific results for his clients in jurisdictions throughout the country. Many of us know Steve and have worked with him over the course of our careers. We’re excited that he is joining Prince Lobel.”

Steve received his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his A.B. from Bowdoin College.
