BOSTON, Massachusetts—Prince Lobel, one of Boston’s leading law firms, announces that Attorneys Jonathan DeBlois and Michael Thompson have been named partners.
Jonathan DeBlois is an intellectual property attorney focusing his practice on litigation involving patent and trademark infringement, as well as portfolio monetization strategy and licensing. He has been instrumental in launching the firm’s patent mining and strategy practice which focuses on building targeted bespoke patent portfolios and IP monetization strategies. Jonathan has substantial federal court and licensing experience in fields including VoIP telephony, wireless communication, streaming audio, search engine algorithms, geolocation services, anti-piracy technology, computing virtualization, software and hardware defined networking, medical devices and asset tracking systems. Jonathan has been selected for inclusion in Massachusetts Super Lawyers-Rising Stars® edition for Intellectual Property Litigation from 2018-present, as well as being selected for inclusion in IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists from 2019-present. Jonathan received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, and his B.A. from St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
Michael Thompson is a business litigator who represents clients in a broad array of industries, including technology and biotechnology, healthcare, and insurance. He is experienced in diverse commercial litigation and appellate matters, including litigating and advising clients concerning complex business disputes; purchase price adjustment, indemnity, and other post-transaction disputes; start-up and early-stage companies’ legal matters; business torts; and insurance and reinsurance litigation matters. Michael was selected for inclusion in the Massachusetts Super Lawyers-Rising Stars® editions for his general litigation work from 2010 to 2012. In 2016, he was selected for inclusion in The National Black Lawyers “Top 40 Under 40.” He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and an A.B., cum laude, from Harvard College.
