Prince Lobel Partner Julie Barry Elected to Environmental Business Council of New England’s Board of Directors

On June 16., 2022, the membership of the Environmental Business Council of New England (EBC) voted to elect new members to the EBC Board of Directors.  Julie Pruitt Barry, a partner at Prince Lobel, was named to the board. The board represents a range of sectors in the environmental arena, and will support the EBC’s mission of fostering the development of the environmental and energy industries

Julie Pruitt Barry is a trial and appellate attorney with more than 25 years of experience in state and federal courts including the Massachusetts Appeals Court, Superior Courts, Land Court, Probate Court, and the U.S. District Court, and First Circuit Court of Appeals.  She represents developers, commercial and residential property owners, businesses, and individuals.

Julie’s practice focuses on commercial and residential real estate and land use litigation and permitting, including zoning and planning, affordable housing, cannabis, renewable energy, historic districts, title and easements, construction, and insurance coverage.  She also represents clients in state and federal environmental administrative matters including wetlands and tidelands, and hazardous waste under both state and federal Superfund Acts, MA Chapter 21E, and CERCLA, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Julie has bee lauded for her work by several notable organizations.  In 2021, she was named a “Premier Real Estate Lawyer” in The Definitive Guide to America’s Real Estate Lawyers.  She was named also in 2021 a “Go To Commercial Real Estate Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.   She has been recognized since 2017 as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in Civil Litigation, and since 2021 a “Best Lawyer in America” in the field of environmental and real estate law.
