Prince Lobel is excited to welcome Mike Angelini, Louis Ciavarra, Joshua Lewin, Douglas Radigan, and George Tetler to the firm. After decades of practice at Worcester’s largest law firm, Bowditch & Dewey, Angelini, Ciavarra, Radigan and Tetler will open Prince Lobel’s Worcester office, along with several other highly respected former Bowditch lawyers. Lewin returns to Prince Lobel and will practice out of the firm’s Boston office.
Angelini, after over fifty years of a law practice involving Worcester’s most significant business transactions and high stakes lawsuits and holding leadership positions in almost every civic and charitable organization in the city, expressed his excitement and engagement in this change. “This is a terrific opportunity to do more of what I’ve enjoyed and to do so with a great team, both in Worcester and in Boston.”
Ciavarra, a former Managing Partner at Bowditch echoed Angelini. “Moving after 40 years was a tough decision. But, my practice is growing and the opportunity to work with Prince Lobel and the approximately one hundred talented lawyers it already has was just too compelling. What really made this the right decision, however, was the fact that our core team in Worcester all wanted to do this together. You don’t always get to choose who you work with, but I do now and together we are going to build an extraordinary law office in Worcester.”
Radigan, a business lawyer focused on complex litigation and head of the firm’s litigation practice group, said, “Our group in Worcester has become incredibly close over my 16 years at the firm. Being able to continue my career with such experienced and talented lawyers and the opportunity to add to this base with the top lawyers from the area with the support of a firm such as Prince Lobel combines everything I can imagine necessary to build the top law firm in the City.”
Tetler, who like Angelini is well known both as a go-to business attorney, but also as a community leader, added, “I have spent almost 50 years at Bowditch, and I am very proud of what we accomplished there. But, I remain busy, engaged and committed to my clients and to this community and joining Prince Lobel and opening this new office gives me the best chance to continue to pursue all of these goals.”
Managing Partner, Craig Tateronis, a Worcester native, has explored the idea of a combination with the “right team of Worcester lawyers” over the past few years. He noted that, “the only way we felt comfortable moving our brand into Worcester was by joining forces with lawyers who are well known and highly respected leaders in the Worcester legal and business communities. It’s gratifying that Prince Lobel has attracted high character talent like Mike, Lou, Doug and George. They are among the most trusted advisors to leaders in the Worcester business community and are themselves committed civic leaders. We believe that together we will build an attractive and compelling option for Worcester talent and Worcester-based clients.”
Tateronis added, “In addition to Mike, Lou, Doug and George, we have added a number of top tier Worcester lawyers who will play a vital role in ensuring that our Worcester presence is sustainable and built with the future in mind. Those attorneys include Mark Borenstein, Brian Edmonds, Jared Fiore, Tim Monahan, AiVi Nguyen, and Mark Powers. As excited and confident as I am about the foundational pieces that we’ve added in Worcester, we believe that the ultimate success of this endeavor will be measured by the work of Mark, Brian, Jared, Tim, AiVi, Mark and others.”
Lewin, who anchored Bowditch’s Boston business litigation practice for nearly a decade, will join Prince Lobel’s Boston office where he began his career. “I am excited to return to Prince Lobel along with these incredibly skilled lawyers and accomplished community leaders and help them develop the most vibrant and dynamic law firm in central Massachusetts. Prince Lobel has done an incredible job growing strategically into a preeminent Boston-based firm and we are excited to expand that tradition of excellence both in Boston and Worcester.”
Tateronis is “thrilled” to have Lewin back at Prince Lobel. “Josh was one of the most talented young attorneys ever to work at our firm. We’re proud of the way he’s developed his practice over the years, and to us, this is a happy homecoming.”
