Wayne will bring experience in labor law, OSHA matters, and wage and hour issues
Prince Lobel is pleased to announce the expansion of its Employment Law Practice Group with the addition of partner Richard D. Wayne. Wayne is experienced in many areas of labor and employment law, notably occupational safety and health, labor relations, wage and hour matters (including prevailing wage issues), and employment discrimination.
Throughout his many years as a labor and employment lawyer, Wayne has represented employers in labor disputes and has appeared frequently in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, such as the National Labor Relations Board, the United States Department of Labor, Fair Employment Practices agencies, and the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission. Wayne has handled the full gamut of employment law matters, including wrongful termination, ADA, workplace harassment, independent contractor issues, ERISA, FMLA, and unfair business practices and noncompetition agreements.
Wayne’s many legal successes include ending an illegal work stoppage at the hub of Boston’s public transportation system on the eve of the city’s Tall Ships festival, challenging the legality of residency requirements, and setting the legal standard in third-party sexual harassment claims.
In addition to his skill as a litigator, Wayne also has extensive experience counseling employers on many topics, including union organizing drives, unfair labor practices, and collective bargaining; hiring, leaves, and discipline; employment laws and trends; and the drafting of employee policies and handbooks.

Wayne also sits on multiple bar committees, including the American Bar Association’s Labor Law Subcommittee and Occupational Safety & Health Subcommittee. He also participates on various industry panels.
