Two of the cases highlighted in the 2005 “Most Important Decisions” list in Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly under the Domestic Relations category involved representation by PLGT. The first case was a decision under the “Alimony” category (Kelley v. Kelley)citing that “A divorced man’s alimony should not have been reduced from $500 to $400 per week where the reduction was not based on any changed circumstances, determines the Appeals Court.” Kelley v. The second case was under the “Antenuptial agreement” category(Korff v. Korff): “A judge should not have modified the alimony provisions of an antenuptial agreement after having ruled that agreement to be valid, determines the Appeals Court.” Korff v. Korff(and a companion case)(Laywers Weekly No. 11-131-05)(9 pages).
