Joseph P. Calandrelli is a Partner in the firm’s Business Litigation Practice Group.

Joe is a seasoned trial lawyer with significant experience representing businesses and individuals in a variety of civil litigation matters throughout New England, with a particular emphasis on construction and real estate-related issues. For his construction clients, Joe’s practice includes all forms of contract payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, surety litigation, public bidding disputes, matters related to construction defects and claims under the Home Improvement Contractor Act. His real estate practice includes commercial and residential lease and ownership disputes, boundary issues, zoning appeals, title disputes, condominium governance disputes. As a general business litigator, Joe has also handled numerous internal shareholder disagreements among closely held businesses, derivative actions, non-compete issues, Wage Act claims, and insurance coverage disputes.

Although a seasoned litigator, Joe is a firm believer that employing a litigator’s expertise and experience to assess potential risks before a particularized dispute arises is an invaluable resource to minimize the frequency or gravity of potential litigation. When a case requires litigation, however, Joe will create a uniquely tailored approach that is aimed at obtaining the most advantageous, timely, and efficient result. He recognizes that every client and every dispute is different.

Joe received his J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, where he was a member of the school’s baseball team. When away from work, Joe spends much of his free time volunteering with his children’s numerous activities. He and his family reside in Burlington and take every chance they can get to spend some time up in Maine.
