Sydney Burns

Sydney Burns focuses her practice on domestic relations, assisting clients in matters including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, asset division, guardianship, paternity, and modification. Sydney joined Prince Lobel as a law clerk in the domestic relations practice during her third-year of law school, affording her opportunities to work on a wide range of family law cases. Sydney is dedicated to providing clients with individualized attention and approaching each case with compassion.

During law school, Sydney worked as a Rule 3.03 certified student attorney with Greater Boston Legal Services, through its partnership with the Boston University Civil Litigation Program. She represented clients throughout the divorce process and worked primarily with domestic violence victims. She served as the Communications Editor for the American Journal of Law and Medicine and worked as a research assistant for a professor whose work focused on juvenile delinquency. Sydney also volunteered with Volunteer Lawyers Project in their Family Law Clinic. Prior to attending law school, Sydney spent two years as a law clerk for a family law practice in San Jose, California and received her certification in Social Justice Mediation from the Social Justice Mediation Institute in Amherst, Massachusetts.
