Craig M. Tateronis, managing partner of Prince Lobel Tye LLP, today announced that firm partner Robert M. Schlein has been named chair of the Real Estate Practice Group.
An accomplished attorney, Rob offers the team more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate law and extensive expertise in the field of environmental law. He regularly represents anchor tenants, restaurants, all types of shopping centers and smaller tenants, as well as both tenants and landlords of office and industrial properties. His environmental law experience includes representation of land owners and lenders in matters relating to hazardous waste permitting, remedial action and wastewater treatment.
Members of the Real Estate Practice Group have experience in the full range of commercial real estate transactions, including the purchase, sale, development and financing of office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, golf course developments, and residential projects. Prince Lobel’s real estate attorneys also work regularly with the firm’s corporate and tax practice groups to negotiate joint venture agreements and agreements with equity investors. The real estate group also offers significant depth in environmental, construction, and condominium law, issues relating to land titles, Land Court practice, liens, subdivisions, and mortgage foreclosures.
According to Tateronis, “Rob’s ability to manage a diverse group of legal professionals, his broad and deep knowledge of the real estate industry, and his skill in managing the needs of a wide variety of clients make him an ideal candidate to chair the Real Estate Practice Group. I know he will play a vital role in the group’s success in the coming year as we begin to see increased activity in the Boston real estate market.”
