The owner of the Jaguars, Shahid Khan, purchased Fulham Football Club, known as one of the most scenic arenas in English soccer. Khan had the intention of fusing the two teams in order to provide a wider range of games for the American audience.
“It’s validated our theory, which is, Americans want high-quality soccer,” said Steve Gans, who helped Fulham seek business ties in the United States several years ago. “The growth here has been consistent for people who love high-quality soccer.”
