November 17, 2008

Prince Lobel is pleased to welcome Diane R. Rubin as a partner in the Real Estate and Litigation Practice Groups.  Most recently, Diane was a partner at the law firm of Holland & Knight.

Diane has extensive experience as counsel to both private and public clients in these areas.  Her clients include general contractors and subcontractors, as well as awarding authorities and owners, most notably large condominium associations.  As a lawyer who is well-versed in both litigation and transactional matters, Diane is able to advise clients about how to avoid litigation and, when necessary, how to accomplish their goals in the litigation arena, whether in the courtroom or through mediation or arbitration.

Diane served as associate general counsel for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority, where she was responsible for oversight of all litigation, which included several high-profile eminent domain cases and lease, telecommunications, computer software and insurance disputes, in addition to numerous construction and design negligence lawsuits.  She participated in redrafting the general terms and conditions for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority’s construction agreements and drafted many such agreements and bid documents.  Her additional responsibilities included serving as counsel relative to the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority’s employment matters, such as discrimination and sexual harassment policies and complaints.
