On November 4, partners Joshua Lewin and Jeffrey Pyle presented at the annual conference of the Real Estate Bar Association. Their topic was the Massachusetts “Anti-SLAPP” statute, which provides for early dismissal of “strategic lawsuits against public participation,” or SLAPPs. Pyle and Lewin gave conference attendees practical tips for litigating these complex motions, and highlighted fundamental shifts in Anti-SLAPP jurisprudence over the last year.
