Prince Lobel is proud to announce that two of its partners, Matthew Vella and Jonathan DeBlois, were named to the 2021 IAM 300 Strategy Global Leaders Guide. IAM Strategy 300: The World’s Leading IP Strategists identifies individuals who are leading the way in the development and implementation of strategies that maximize the value of IP portfolios. These world-class IP strategists are primarily identified through confidential nominations made online. The extensive research process also involves face-to-face and telephone interviews, as well as email exchanges with senior members of the global IP community. Only those individuals who have exceptional skill sets, as well as profound insights into the development, creation and management of IP value, are featured in the IAM Strategy 300.
Matthew Vella has been included in the guide for over a decade. He is an intellectual property attorney who specializes in patent licensing, litigation, and defense. Matt has built, managed, and executed over 100 patent license programs that have generated over a billion dollars in revenue. The programs have panned a wide range of technologies, including mobile computing, DRAM/FLASH memory, PC architecture, databases, network management, optical/data networking, web services, orthopedics, cardiovascular, image processing and graphics, automobile safety, voice/video codec, semiconductors, cell phone GPUs, hardware and software virtualization, software defined networking, HDTV, business intelligence and analytics, cloud computing, artificial intelligence including machine learning, credit card authentication, and digital rights management. He is co-chair of Prince Lobel’s Intellectual Property practice group.
Jonathan DeBlois is a partner in the Prince Lobel IP practice group. He focuses his practice on litigation involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, as well as portfolio monetization strategy and licensing. Jonathan has been instrumental in launching the firm’s patent mining and strategy practice, which focuses on building targeted bespoke patent portfolios and IP monetization strategies. He works with clients to identify underutilized or undervalued assets and through collaboration with global partners, litigation funders, and technology experts creates target-specific monetization programs. These unique programs span the entire monetization life cycle from valuation to funding, licensing and litigation.
