Prince Lobel was recently mentioned in a MassLive article outlining the suit filed by our Media and First Amendment Practice Group and the Massachusetts chapter of the ACLU against the city of Holyoke, charging the city with violating the First Amendment through their enactment of an ordinance which restricts “temporary signs,” such as the sort used to signal endorsement for political candidates or social messages, from December 1 to March 1. The suit charges that this law limits the public from expressing their views using “a venerable means of communication that is both unique and important.” To read the full article, click here.
