Kirsten Patzer is a Partner in Prince Lobel’s Business Litigation Practice Group.

Kirsten is a trial attorney with a practice focused on representing and counseling financial services firms, financial advisors, and registered investment advisors. As former in-house counsel to several financial institutions, including the largest independent broker dealer in the United States and a Fortune 500 financial services company, she brings a distinctive set of skills, experiences, and insights to her litigation practice.

Kirsten’s experience includes defending broker dealers and financial professionals in hundreds of arbitration and litigation matters, involving an array of issues from customer suitability claims to industry disputes. Her employment practice is unique to the financial services world where she has defended clients against allegations of wrongful termination, defamation, tortious interference with contract and business advantage, and raiding.

In addition to her litigation practice, Kirsten also represents clients in regulatory matters before FINRA, the SEC, the Certified Financial Planning Board, and state securities and insurance agencies throughout the nation. She also represents businesses in a variety of matters relating to data security and privacy laws advising her clients how to best navigate the complex patchwork of cybersecurity and data privacy laws and regulations.

When she isn’t zealously advocating for her clients, Kirsten enjoys solo travel adventures, throwing dinner parties for her friends and neighbors, skiing with her niece and nephew, and attending the Boston Ballet.
