Marlisa Payne is an associate in Prince Lobel’s Business Litigation Practice Group.
Prior to becoming an associate, Marlisa worked as a law clerk at Prince Lobel. During law school, Marlisa participated twice in the annual Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court in which she debated issues related to sales contract disputes and contract interpretation. She also served on the leadership boards of several student-led groups as a second-year law student and worked closely with international LLM students as a Teaching Assistant during her final year.
Marlisa previously served as an intern at the State Attorney’s Office in Jacksonville, Florida, where she worked in the criminal circuit division. She helped assistant state attorneys with felony cases and briefed new case reports. She also interned at the Massachusetts United States Attorney’s Office in the Organized Crime and Gang Unit of the Criminal Division. Here, she assisted state and federal agents with their investigations and conducted legal research.
She received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. She graduated summa cum laude with her B.A. in French and Spanish and her B.S. in International Affairs with a concentration in history.
