Walter B. Prince, a founding partner of Boston law firm Prince Lobel Tye LLP, was asked about the upcoming federal trial of Whitey Bulger, who was captured two years ago after 16 years on the run. Walter Prince, a former assistant United States attorney for the District of Massachusetts stated, “As a trial, “this is an epic motion picture; this is going to be huge.”
Bulger has pleaded innocent to a variety of charges, including his participation in 19 murders that reportedly occurred when he was the alleged boss of South Boston’s Winter Hill Gang from the ‘70s-‘90s. Jury selection is now beginning, with curiosity seekers lining up to catch a glimpse of the now 83-year-old Bulger.
