The controversial and confusing tech tax, implemented just last month, will likely be repealed in the near future. Does that mean businesses are off the hook? Should tech-service vendors continue to charge the tax? Should their clients keep paying it? And if the taxes have already been paid, how long will it take for the state to issue refunds? These questions and others have left both tax and legal experts scratching their heads. Prince Lobel partner John Bradley, who works closely with the firm’s technology clients, stated “It’s a real dilemma. As a lawyer, it’s easy to say ‘just follow the law.’ But it’s really not that simple in reality.”
