Protecting media and other publishing clients today requires a global perspective. This fall, the Media and Internet Practice Group at Prince Lobel will once again co-sponsor the London conference of the Media Law Resource Center, entitled, International Developments in Libel, Privacy, Newsgathering, and New Media Law.
Prince Lobel partners Joseph D. Steinfield and Robert A. Bertsche will be among those participating in the conference, which draws media lawyers from throughout the world. The topics covered will include international fair use issues, the challenges of reporting on terrorism, European protection for rights of privacy, and the future of free expression on the Internet. One keynote speaker will be Lord Hoffmann, the controversial senior British judge who has made key rulings in cases involving libel and reporter’s privilege.
