George Tetler is a partner in Prince Lobel’s Business Transactions and Real Estate Practice Groups.

He is a skilled and successful business lawyer with more than 40 years of experience. George’s clients span across New England and include financial institutions, public and private companies, boards of directors, and investors, along with business owners and nonprofit institutions. He handles mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, capital projects, business formations and startups, internal and compliance investigations, restructurings, business and succession planning projects and financial institution regulatory matters.

George serves as special counsel to boards of directors, financial institutions, corporations and non-profit organizations in complex internal and compliance investigations. Regional and community banking institutions regularly engage him in mergers and acquisitions, bank holding company formations and regulatory and compliance matters.

He is a problem solver and handles transactions and issues with reason and practicality to obtain successful outcomes for his clients. George’s clients benefit from his deep knowledge and experience in matters relating to insolvency and bankruptcy.  He is a fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy.

George is a community leader in Worcester and Central Massachusetts. He serves and has served on the boards of many economic development, educational, cultural and social service organizations, often as a board chair, treasurer or executive committee member.

He received his LL.M. in taxation from Boston University School of Law, his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law, and his B.A. from Denison University.
