Dr. Suhrid Wadekar is a partner in Prince Lobel’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.

Dr. Wadekar assists clients from small companies and start ups to large corporations. He helps clients with intellectual property litigation and patent prosecution matters as well as intellectual property transactions. Dr. Wadekar has represented a number of major electronics manufacturers, semiconductor manufacturers, and manufacturers of LEDs in IP litigation matters. He successfully handled numerous cases on patent infringement for these clients. Dr. Wadekar drafted and successfully prosecuted over 200 patent prosecution cases in technologies including computer hardware and software, medical devices, and “green” technology. He also has experience in advising clients on intellectual property-related risks in M&A, asset purchase, IPO, SPAC, and debt financing transactions in technologies such as quantum computing, robotic medical devices, optical scanners, cold storage for transport of biological materials, AI-based drug discovery, laser based surgery, and glucose monitoring.

Dr. Wadekar has drafted and supervised drafting of more than thirty inter partes review (IPR) petitions in diverse technologies including speech synthesis, semiconductor fabrication equipment, LED design, microprocessor power supplies, rendering of maps on mobile devices, web-accessibility technology, and DSL communication.

He graduated from the University of Pune with a BSE in Electrical Engineering, he earned his Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of South Florida, and he graduated from the University of Southern California with a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering. Dr. Wadekar earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law.
