Partner & Co-Chair, Sports & Entertainment
Alain is Co-Chair of Prince Lobel’s Sports & Entertainment Group and is a partner in the Litigation Group.
He is an accomplished litigator, trial lawyer, and transactional attorney. He has tried cases to verdict in both federal and state courts, along with the American Arbitration Association, and in the offices of professional sports league commissioners. Alain handles complex business litigation, including contract disputes, government investigations, intellectual property litigation, and sports and entertainment matters. He works with clients in several sectors such as sports, entertainment, consumer goods, financial services, healthcare, and technology.
As Co-Chair of the firm’s Sports & Entertainment group, he leads the group in advising sports and entertainment clients on both business and personal matters, including: brand development and enforcement; endorsement, name, image, and likeness (NIL), and other licensing agreements; television, film, music, and choreography agreements; broadcast and streaming agreements; league and NCAA compliance; and when necessary, he zealously represents his clients in litigation matters. His client base has included all-star and hall of fame professional and amateur athletes, entertainers, agencies, agents, teams, leagues, brands, creatives, and executives.
Alain is dedicated to serving his community. He sits on the Boards of Crossroads (Vice Chair), The Wily Network, and VISIONS, Inc. In addition, he serves on the Advisory Boards of The Foundation to Be Named Later, the Concussion Legacy Foundation, and Harlem Lacrosse Boston. Through his pro bono work, Alain advocates for clients in domestic and sexual violence matters along with refuge cases, and in civil appeal matters.
Alain’s legal and community work has been recognized by various organizations including the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, City Awake, Diverse Representation (Sports & Entertainment), the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services, the National Black Lawyers 40 Under 40, Chambers, Best Lawyers in America, and Super Lawyers.
Prior to Prince Lobel, he spent nearly eight years in the Boston office of a large international law firm. He is also a former intern for the Honorable Gregory C. Flynn of the Waltham District Court and the District Court Appellate Division and US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY).
Alain earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and his B.A. from Bowdoin College, graduating from both schools cum laude.
