A trusted advisor to leaders in government and the private sector, Paige Scott Reed has made a career of solving difficult transactional and litigation challenges for public officials, corporate executives, boards of directors, and technology innovators.

Paige brings a unique perspective, broad know-how, and a network of experience, having served for years in state government. Most recently, Paige served as Chief Legal Counsel to Governor Maura T. Healey, joining the Governor from the start of her administration.  Prior to her time in the Healey-Driscoll Administration, Paige led a successful transportation, litigation, and labor and employment practice at Prince Lobel. She was instrumental in establishing MassAutonomy, a non-profit dedicated to advancing next-generation aviation in Massachusetts; served as Corporate Secretary and General Counsel to the organizing committee for Boston’s 2024 Olympic bid; and served as the Chief Legal Officer for MassDOT and the MBTA. In December of 2022 she was named to Attorney General-Elect Andrea Campbell’s transition team and to the public transportation infrastructure transition team for incoming Governor Maura Healey. Paige chaired the finance committee for Rachael Rollins historic campaign in 2022, helping to elect the first black woman to serve as District Attorney for Suffolk County. 

Governor Healey recently appointed Paige to serve as a member of her Advisory Council on Black Empowerment. 

For almost 30 years, Paige has helped her clients build effective teams and achieve business objectives across many different settings. Paige regularly helps clients: 

  • negotiate deals, 
  • resolve disputes, 
  • form partnerships, particularly between industry and government, 
  • understand regulatory landscapes, 
  • navigate public procurement requirements, 
  • conduct internal investigations, and  
  • overcome employment challenges. 

She was instrumental in procuring a new operator for the MBTA’s commuter rail, forming a public-private partnership to redevelop Back Bay Station, implementing the MBTA’s Construction Manager/General Contractor project delivery approach, and securing $1 billion in federal funding for the Green Line Extension project. Paige has also defended government organizations against class actions charging racial discrimination in hiring practices. 

Paige leads the firm’s unmanned and autonomous systems practice. She is a strategic advisor to the Commonwealth UAS Integration Program and guides MassDOT’s efforts to utilize drones to advance its transportation mission. 

Paige is a dedicated member of her community, having served as the President of the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association and Vice-President for the Harvard Law School Association of Massachusetts. Paige also served on the Executive Council of the Boston Bar Association, the Board of the Boston Bar Foundation, and the Board of Boston Harbor Now 

Paige received her A.B. from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she was an Executive Editor of the Harvard Law Review.
