Rick’s practice encompasses his broad experience in the areas of corporate law, real estate law, telecommunications, and renewable energy projects.
Rick is a sought-after lawyer working with businesses at the national, regional, and local levels. He advises on all aspects of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing transactions, venture capital transactions on both the company and investor sides, and private equity transactions.
Rick has substantial real estate experience, having represented both landlords and tenants in commercial real estate acquisitions and sales and commercial leasing matters. He advises developers on legal issues relating to commercial development projects throughout New England.
As chair of Prince Lobel’s Telecommunications Group, Rick has represented national telecommunication companies in the development and permitting of wireless networks, for over 20 years, including the negotiation of hundreds of antenna facility leases, tower leases, and fiber deals. He also works with telecommunications infrastructure companies and tower aggregators in bulk sale transactions involving the purchase and sale of telecommunications assets and revenue streams across the country.
Rick is also a member of the firm’s burgeoning Cannabis Practice. Rick has represented cannabis clients in matters involving private capital raises, commercial leasing, real estate acquisitions and sales, private financing, and local permitting.
In addition to his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, he holds an LL.M. in International Banking and Finance law from Boston University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree is from Boston College (B.A.). He is admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida. Rick is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He lives in Hingham with his wife Kim and their two children.
